Sunforest organic farm grows turkeys, which have excellent eating qualities and appearance. We offer a fresh seasonal supply (May to December) of our delicious turkeys whole or in pieces.

The Sunforest property is situated in the red soil country over the escarpment of Byron Bay. Sunforest turkeys are certified organic and free range in large open-air enclosures in Sunforest’s paddocks eating grass and catching insects. Sunforest turkeys are feed certified organic mash and whole grains.

The areas inhabited by the turkeys are maintained by organic principles. This means that no synthetic herbicides or pesticides are used on the birds or in the paddocks they inhabit. The turkeys roam in orchards and in grass paddock’s which are also grazed by cattle. The turkeys are rotated through the pastures so that they have access to fresh grass and green pick.

The Sunforest farm, bird production and processing is Organic Certified with Australian Certified Organic (ACO 2643 A & IC). The NSW Food Authority number for processing is 9620.
